This research series stems from discussions with the late Prof Madhava Menon, a champion of workforce diversity and anti-discrimination efforts. Inspired by his legacy, the first volume focused on Gender and Inclusion. This second volume, part of a biannual series, addresses the unique challenges faced by Muslim women, a minority within a minority. It examines narratives of appeasement and relative deprivation, shaped in part by governmental actions such as proposed legislation on Muslim divorce proceedings. Through these papers, we aim to contribute to broader conversations on inclusion, equity, and social justice.
